Peter McCrohon

I graduated from Rose Bruford in 1999 and career highlights have included the No. 1 tours of Brief Encounter (which won a Manchester Evening News award), Dial M For Murder and The Holly & The Ivy (Starring Tony Britton). On screen I appeared in Sky One's controversial Million Pound Hoax and recently completed work on the Bollywood feature film Tezz (starring Slumdog Millionaire's Anil Kapoor)which will hit UK cinemas this year. I am a veteran of 11 pantomimes, most recently last Christmas in a theatre record breaking run of Jack & The Beanstalk opposite Britt Ekland, Steve Arnold and Lynne McGranger. This year, after completing pantomime and Romeo & Juliet with the ENB at the London Coliseum I appeared as the Reverend Arthur Humphrey in the farce SEE HOW THEY RUN (comedy is a particular forte): "Peter McCrohon full of subtle comic characterisation as one of the many who dressed as vicars and one of the few who actually were" (Portsmouth News). I also recently completed a touring Halloween double bill of The Signalman/The Indian's Hand, playing the title role in the former and directing the latter and adapting both; they garnered a five star review in Remotegoat: "The signalman was played by Peter McCrohon, with Christopher Marlowe in the role of the visiting gentleman. Both actors were superb, with a vocal dexterity that at times I found truly impressive. At some points McCrohon when relaying his experiences would lower his voice to almost a whisper but such is the clarity of his voice that every word could be heard, and I was furthest from the players! " The Portsmouth News said of it: "Peter McCrohon and Christopher Marlowe played off each other as the signalman and the gentleman wonderfully". Corporate roleplay this year has included work for Dstl, Skandia, Hyde Housing, Criterion, Hampshire County Council and Turlin Moor Community School.
